SANDSTON, Va. — The Virginia National Guard’s Personal Financial Counselor Bethy Vallejo will be at Fort Pickett March 1, 2014, and Fort Belvoir March 2 to help members of the military community sign up for the Military Saver Pledge as part of Military Saves Week. Those who sign up can get their FREE myFICO credit score. This is also a great opportunity to talk to your PFC about your credit score and perhaps how to raise it if necessary.

Vallejo will be at Fort Pickett in Building 306 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then visiting Recruiting Command in the afternoon.

Vallejo will be at Fort Belvoir in Building 2113-D from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 2, 2014, to assist Soldiers and family members with financial plans.

Military Saves is a DOD awareness campaign that runs from 23 Feb-2 March, 2014. It is an annual opportunity to promote good savings behavior and a chance for personnel to assess their own saving status. It is conducted in cooperation with the Consumer Federation of America, one of the Department of Defense’s official financial readiness non-profit partners. The theme for Military Saves 2014 isSet a Goal, Make a Plan, Save Automatically.

Get in touch with your PFC to find out how to have her come out to drill so your units can take advantage of this opportunity:
