Virginia National Guard equipment may be available for lease to support private events for short periods of time, some examples of equipment available for lease are tents, tables, chairs, etc.

Any equipment lease must be reviewed by the U.S. Property and Fiscal Officer as well as receive approval from the Adjutant General of Virginia. Approval and participation is contingent upon available resources and current equipment and training obligations. Requester is required to provide proof that commercially-available alternatives do no exist or are cost-prohibitive.

For all leases, the requester assumes all responsibilities, liabilities and costs associated with movement, use, care, security, loss, damage and repair of the materiel. The requester will furnish funds to cover costs related to repair or maintenance if the condition of the equipment is recieved in any condition less than the condition it was issued.

In addition, the requester will insure each piece of leased equipment for the full value of the property, provide proof of insurance and secure a surety bond equal to fair market value of the materiel.

The requestor will need to submit proof that commerically-available alternatives do not exist or are cost-prohbitive, proof of insurance, a surety bond, an Agreement for the Loan of U.S. Army Materiel DA Form 4881-RDA Form 4881-6-R in addition to the DD Form 2536.
