Fort Pickett to host Open House Nov. 17

FORT PICKETT, Va. — Lt. Col. William Korsen, commander of the Virginia Army National Guard Maneuver Training Center – Fort Pickett, would like to invite the citizens and business owners of Nottoway, Dinwiddie, Brunswick, Lunenburg, Amelia and Prince Edward Counties to the Fort Pickett Open House event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Post Theater (Bldg 2480).

The agenda will include:

9:00-9:30 a.m. Opening Remarks and Agenda Overview

9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Bus Tour of Training Events and Facilities

12:00 – 1:00 p. m. Released for Lunch

1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Business and Employment Briefings

2:00 – 3:00 p. m. Question and Answer / Closing remarks

Please join us for a first-hand look at the personnel and equipment of today’s defense community and how their training is contributing to our national security mission. In addition, we will be providing an overview of how employment and business opportunities are managed on Fort Pickett.
